1. Perkins

Perkins Engines, a subsidiary of Caterpillar Inc., is primarily a diesel engine manufacturer for several markets including Agricultural, Construction, Material Handling, Power Generation and Industrial. It was established in Peterborough, England, in 1932. Over the years Perkins has expanded its engine ranges and produces thousands of different engine specifications including diesel and gas engines.
Various Perkins diesel engines have been made for industrial, agricultural, construction, material handling, marine and power generation markets, and Perkins Gas-based engines (Natural Gases, Landfill Gas, Digester Gas, Bio Gas, Mine Gas) are used for continuous power generation.

2. MTU

MTU develops, manufacures, sells and maintains commercial and military engines. It is Germany's leading engine manufacturer and one of the biggest international players in the industry. MTU has a worldwide reputation for reliability, pioneering technology and comprehensive service. MTU's product range is the most extensive and advanced, covering diesel engines from to 20 to 9000 kW range.  

Through a series of mergers and acquisitions between 2000 and 2011, Detroit Diesel Corporation was first acquired by Daimler AG and merged with MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH featuring the MTU - Detroit Diesel Engine as its flagship engine brand under the corporate umbrella of Tognum AG; with manufacturing facilities in Friedrichshafen Germany and Detroit, Michigan, USA. In August 2011, Daimler AG and Rolls-Royce Holdings plc, through Engine Holding GmbH acquired Tognum AG.

3. Cummins

Cummins Inc. was founded in 1919 as a corporation in Columbus, Indiana, as one of the first diesel engine manufacturers. Cummins is a global power leader that designs, manufactures, distributes and services diesel and natural gas engines and engine-related component products, including filtration, aftertreatment, turbochargers, fuel systems, controls systems, air handling systems and electric power generation systems. It sells products to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), distributors and other customers worldwide. We serve our customers through a network of approximately 600 company-owned and independent distributor locations and over 7,200 dealer locations in more than 190 countries and territories.

4. Leroy Somer

Leroy-Somer is a French company based in Angoulême, Charente which manufactures mainly electric motors. It was established in 1919 by Marcellin Leroy. LEROY-SOMER, the world-leading specialist in industrial alternators and drive systems, designs and manufactures highly innovative eco-technological solutions to serve the industrial and large-scale commercial sector markets.
